As the election becomes closer and closer to all of our minds we have to make the decision on which candidate to vote for. As an independent voter the choice has never been easier. I want to make sure that my vote is going toward the candidate that will do everything in their power to make the country better. I don’t want another person in office who only creates more problems for everything. We have enough debt and hassles right now, so I want someone who can try to make it right. As an independent voter I know where my decision lands and I hope you can make the right choice as well.

Sun Peaks is a newly-created municipality in British Columbia. A mountain resort community of about 400 permanent residents, Sun Peaks municipality is the first mountain resort municipality in B.C. It was created by special provincial legislation, which calls for one member of the Sun Peaks council to be a provincially-appointed representative of Sun Peaks Resort Corporation, as an act of recognition of the large role that the company plays in the development of the community. Mayor Al Raine, who has lived in Sun Peaks since 1994, is lobbying for a school to be built in the community, as children currently have to travel 35km to attend school in Heffley Creek.
